Sixty Minutes of Batshite

Tomorrow at 8:30 PM everywhere is Earth Hour, when people all around the world turn off their lights for an hour. Last year saw a record number of participants. If they’re able to accomplish that feat again this year, it should delay the energy crisis by…um, a few minutes.

This year the World Wildlife Fund, the organizers of the event, ask that you go “beyond the hour“, making sustainable changes in your life and sharing them with others online.

That might be a good idea.

Awareness is futile only if people choose not to act on it.
