With Apologies to Joseph Heller

There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that concern for one’s own safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was batshite and could effect societal change. All he had to do was participate in society; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be batshite and would be facing the same dangers. Orr would be crazy to ignore impending catastrophe and batshite if he didn’t, but either way he condoned his society’s behaviour. If he did nothing he was crazy and could continue sleeping; but if he did something he was batshite and had to wake up.

You know, I’ve never read ‘Catch-22’. I’m frequently told I should.
